„He’s got the eye!“
– Annie Leibovitz.
Christian Thomas has considered Berlin his playground since the days of the Berlin Wall. Always in search of unique places, perspectives, and people, his primary focus has consistently been portrait photo-graphy. He concisely describes his work as an effort to „portray people as they really are“ – all over the world.
After Berlin, he refined his portfolio with unique portraits of Uschi Obermeier, Dennis Hopper, Wim Wen-ders, Nancy Sinatra, and Vladimir Klitschko, among others, many of which were taken in LA as well.
Christian Thomas’s photography reflects his desire to understand and capture the essence of people and places, merging them in spontaneous moments as an inseparable whole. Throughout his career, he has curated several highly acclaimed exhibitions and received numerous awards, including the „Canon Pro-Fashional Photo Award.“
Additionally, eighty of his photographs are on display at our hotel Das Stue, the perfect location to admire art.
