Neue Nationalgalerie

The Neue Nationalgalerie is the Berlin State Museums’ museum of 20th-century art. It displays a selection of works from the Nationalgalerie collection, focusing on classical modernism and post-war art. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and opened in 1968, the building is considered a masterpiece of modern architecture. Following an extensive renovation carried out in accordance with historic preservation guidelines, the museum reopened to visitors in 2021, combining architectural clarity with contemporary museum practices.
